In Lakeview there is a burger joint that has a challenge. Not like any other challenge, try four pounds of challenge. What are we talking about? If you’re from Lakeview, you guessed it: The Rock’s Burger Challenge at ROCK’S in Lakeview! This burger is unlike any you have seen. Stacked to the brim with patty’s, bread and all sorts of extras, it isn’t your push over burger challenge. ROCK'S, which is located at 3463 N. Broadway St, in Chicago’s Lakeview, is one of the best burger joints we have tried. Trust us, we’ve tried a lot! Not only do they have some of the tastiest burgers, but also an atmosphere to boot. A full bar, indoor seating and a great patio right on Broadway Street to enjoy your food or drinks outside, on a nice summer day.

Situated between two PPM buildings, 596 W. Hawthorne and 634 - 42 W. Cornelia, ROCK'S is the next place you have to try. Enough hearing it from us, though, take a look below and find out more about the Rock’s Burger Challenge as well as some other tasty burgers you must try. If you do try the challenge, we wish you good LUCK!

The ROCK'S Burger Challenge

Start with a pretzel roll and four angus beef patties with eight slices of pepper jack cheese, eight slices of bacon, giardiniera, onion strings, lettuce, tomato, pickles and a pound of fries. FOUR POUNDS TOTAL! The Rules: You have 30 minutes to finish everything. No help from anyone else. If you puke, you fail. If you finish, it’s free. If not, it’s $30. If you win, you get a championship t-shirt and entry to the ROCKStar hall of fame. There’s no prize for almost finishing!

Schubert St.

When you add cheddar, gouda, chopped Applewood bacon, red onion, lettuce, tomato and chipotle BBQ sauce to our ½ pound burger and serve it on a pretzel roll, you know you must be at ROCKS. $12

Monster of the Midway

They kick up their ½ Ib. burger with Cajun spice, then top it with candied bacon, roasted red pepper aioli, Boston bib lettuce, and A1 BBQ caramelized onions on a brioche bun. #12 Bill Swerski would approve!

It’s a no-brainer that the ROCK'S Burger challenge is nothing short of hard. But if you put your mind and stomach to it, you surely can succeed. If the challenge isn’t your forte, then you can clearly see the many other tasty choices to pick from.
